'WOW project' saves 25,000 trees - The Hindu

The Paperboards and Specialty Papers Division (PSPD) of ITC Limited, in association with Ramky group, has saved 25,000 trees in Hyderabad since July 1 this year as part its Wealth out of Waste (WOW) initiative, Executive Director of ITC P.V. Dhobale has said.
Speaking to mediapersons on the eve of celebrating the achievement here on Wednesday Mr. Dhobale said on Tuesday that the two companies had jointly launched 'Save One Lakh Trees' (SOLT) and Educate Poor Children programme as a part of the National Recycling Day celebrations on July 1.
The project was aimed at inculcating the habit of recycling among school children, housewives, corporate employees and others and reduce garbage load.
