ITC’s Deveshwar 7th in HBR list of best performing CEOs - The Hindu Business Line

ITC Ltd's Chairman Y. C. Deveshwar has been ranked seventh among the ten Best Performing CEOs in the world by Harvard Business Review (HBR) January-February 2013 edition.
Deveshwar has been ranked first among the Indian CEOs featured in this HBR list. Having introduced in 2010, the HBR evaluation process rates CEOs based on how much total shareholder returns had changed during their tenure (adjusting for country and industry effect) and overall growth in market capitalisation.
HBR also considered the long-term performance of the companies and contribution of the CEOs to those companies. Deveshwar became the chairman and chief executive officer of ITC in 1996.
