ITC arm opening hotel in Mysore soon - The Hindu Business Line

Fortune Park Hotels, a subsidiary of ITC Welcom Group, is to open its Mysore hotel, Fortune JP Palace, shortly.
According to a senior company executive, the Mysore property is positioned in the mid-market to upscale segment and will cater to the new-age traveller.
"There are a total of 108 rooms, including 99 standard rooms and Fortune Club rooms and nine suites."
"The hotel, apart from landscaped gardens, has a magnificent view of Chamundi Hills and offers a range of services and facilities," the executive said.
Fortune Park Hotels has made no investment on the property but has taken the operation and marketing route. JP Group has provided the land, building and Fortune Park Hotels is expected to bring in personnel and operate the hotel.
"No investments - Fortune Park Hotels Ltd (FPHL) works on a management contract with a prescribed service fee agreement," the executive explained.
Tier I/II cities
Talking about the company's strategy for tier II and III cities, he said: "Presently, Fortune Hotels has 62 signed alliances and 35 operational hotels across 46 cities. The properties are being set up in major metros, mini metros, state capitals and business towns.
"As each property takes root, it opens up possibilities at another level in a neighbouring hub of development."
"Fortune Hotels plans to maintain its leadership position in the mid-market to upscale segment by following a balanced approach towards growth, expansion, brand extensions and providing the same assured quality of product and service across all extension brands," he added.
