Manisha Raj to represent city in ITC 'Classmate Ideas' contest - The Hindu

Manisha Raj, a second year B.Com student of Bhavan's Vivekananda College, will be representing the city at ITC's 'Classmate Ideas for India Challenge' at national level. In a short-listed contest at city level held for 50 participants here on Tuesday, the 19-year-old emerged winner to make her way for the national finals to be held in New Delhi next month.
The contest launched by ITC to commemorate its 100 years invites young minds to come up with ideas, even small and simple, that holds potential to transform the future of the country. The nationwide competition received more the 60,000 entries and the second phase is on for shortlisted 500 participants spread over 10 cities.
Manisha Raj won the hearts of the judges by her simple approach on management of daily waste generated at home.
The contest is all about asking the students to come up with ideas for the nation, says Nakul Patel, Manager, Krayon, which conceptualised and is managing the event.
